Wahala don land as Nigerian military don identify Lakurawa – an al-Qaeda-linked terror group, active in Sokoto and Kebbi. This group, wey enter Nigeria through Mali and Niger, was originally invited by community leaders in Sokoto back in 2017 to help fight bandits from Zamfara. But e no take long before their true colors show, attacking civilians, military, and even collecting livestock as “Zakat.” Now, Lakurawa’s violent activities don raise concern over the security of our Northern borders, leaving Nigerians to wonder how much more dey hide behind this group’s dark agenda.
