On November 6, 2024, Hermes shared the heartbreaking news on Instagram, revealing his struggle to cope with the loss. He asked for emotional and financial support to help with her funeral arrangements.

In his post, the 27-year-old reality star expressed his grief, writing, “It is with the heaviest of hearts that I’d like to make public the passing of my beloved mum on the 5th of November 2024. I’m doing this so I can properly start my grief and also because I currently lack the strength or capacity (mentally and finance-wise) to handle this situation. Please pray for my siblings and me. Please support us in any way you can.”

Hermes, who was on a work trip when he got the devastating news, asked fans for patience, as he needs time to balance work commitments with the mourning process. “We will start the burial process as soon as I’m back,” he added.

Since the post, fans and celebrities have shown their love and support, sending heartfelt condolences to Hermes during this difficult time.
